Wolf Creek Public Schools (WCPS) has announced the appointment of Ian McLaren as the new principal of Bluffton School.
McLaren makes the move to Bluffton School from the principalship of Eckville Elementary School which he has been at since 2011.
“Ian’s leadership journey is a testament to his unwavering dedication and compassionate approach to education. His ability to connect deeply with school communities, coupled with his commitment to servant leadership, makes him the ideal leader for Bluffton School during this time of transition and healing at the school,” Sonja Dykslag, assistant superintendent of people services.
In addition to his years of experience in administration, he has cognitive coaching skills, proficiency in SIVA (Safe Intervention & Violence Prevention), and TES Trauma Response.
“I am honoured to take on the role of principal at Bluffton School,” said McLaren.
The students and staff have already made me feel welcome, which is a testament to their amazing resiliency and compassion. I am committed to working with this close-knit community to continue the tradition of excellence at Bluffton School.”
