Lacombe Police Service address two armed robbery instances this weekend

On April 15th the Lacombe Police Service recieved a report of an armed robbery at the Husky gas station, located at 5052 Highway 2A.

Police responded and learned that a male suspect had entered the store, brandishing a knife demanding cash and cigarettes.

The male suspect is described as approximately 6' - 6'2" tall, wearing a black flat-brimmed ball cap, large dark sunglasses, with a black bandana covering his face, a baggy dark-coloured hooded sweatshirt and jeans.

The suspect was able to obtain a quantity of cash and lottery tickets before being interrupted by another customer and fleeing in a gold 1995-1998 Pontiac Sunfire, which was operated by a second male. The vehicle was last seen travelling north on Hwy 2.

At the time of this release the matter is still under investigation.

On April 16th at approximately 2 a.m, Lacombe Police Service Members were flagged down by a staff member at Macs Convenience store, Located at 5001 52 Street.

Police were advised that two males had entered the store brandishing a firearm demanding cash and cigarettes.

Staff provided a description of the two males as follows:

Suspect #1:

Native Male, approximately 20-25 years old with a skinny build, approximately 6'1" tall, brown eyes, wearing a black and red bandana covering his fact, black hat, grey or black jacket and jeans.

Suspect #2:

Male, approximately 20-25 years old with a skinny build, approximately 5’7” tall. This suspect was wearing a Black balaclava, black hat, black jacket with the hood pulled up, black pants and white shoes.

The suspects were able to obtain a quantity cash, lottery tickets and cigarettes before being interrupted by a customer walking in. The suspects then fled in the same Gold 1995-1998 Pontiac Sunfire as was used in a previous robbery in Lacombe.

At the time of this release the matter is still under investigation.
