Lacombe needs more ice, says reader

Adding a Junior A team pushes the existing user groups even farther beyond any comfortable amount of ice use time.

Adding a Junior A team pushes the existing user groups even farther beyond any comfortable amount of ice use time.

Lacombe is already short (extremely short) of ice time and Lacombe minor hockey teams from our big ‘city’ are renting ice at the Village of Clive for practices and home games. A group to bring Junior A hockey to Lacombe wants to help, not create additional shortage. Spending $14 to $15 million to upgrade the arena does not add more ice.

Lacombe simply needs more ice. At least one more ice surface.
