Central Alberta Youth Unlimited announces new executive director

The Board of Directors of Central Alberta Youth Unlimited/YFC (CAYU) would like to announce the appointment of Jerel Peters as the new Executive Director of our organization, effective October 1, 2018.

Jerel and his family have been part of the CAYU family for the past 15 years in different ministry and leadership roles. Jerel’s heart for family, mentorship, community and progressive leadership makes him a great for the position. Jerel enters this position with the full support of the entire staff and board of CAYU.

After 16 years at the helm of CAYU, Jake is moving from his position as the CAYU Executive Director to the Youth for Christ/YFC National Team as the new Director of Chapter Development. Jake has brought substantial growth and mentorship to all areas of CAYU and we at CAYU have beneited greatly under his leadership.

Jake has consistently led this organization with humility, kindness and great vision. We will no doubt continue to reap the beneits of Jake’s leadership for years to come. We will miss him and the Schellenberg family greatly. We wish both Jake and Jerel all the best as they enter this new chapter of their lives.

Central Alberta Youth Unlimited exists in Red Deer, Sylvan Lake, Lacombe, Rimbey, Ponoka, and Maskwacis to bring the hope of Jesus to youth, facilitating, wholeness through mentoring relationships. We operate through a network of dedicated staff under the vision of Hope and Wholeness for all youth.
