The Lacombe Vintage Machinery Club held a birthday drive-by to honour Harley Hand’s 90th birthday. The club fired up some of their vintage tractors and drove past Hand’s home. Hand’s family has been hit Lacombe since 1895 when his grandfather settled here six miles east of Lacombe. Harley and Rilla Hand have four children, three of which still live in the area with their families. Through the years he was a volunteer fireman and had a business called Harley’s Autobody. Hand and his wife wife have been active members of the community volunteering for many organizations, committees and events to this day. (Photos submitted)
