PHOTO: Lacombe Junior High runs Marathon of Hope

School raised $1900.73 in annual Terry Fox Run

Lacombe Junior High School recently took part in their annual Terry Fox Run. Leading the pack was Rory Whitbread, the school’s Cross Country Coach, followed by the student body. Over 450 students ran 2 km around Cranna lake. They collectively ran 900km, or roughly 20 marathons. Each class ran its own “Marathon of Hope”. The school hopes that the $1900.73 raised will help achieve Terry’s goal of finding a cure for cancer. Photo Submitted
