A Purrfect Christmas

The Lacombe Performing Arts Centre is rounding out it’s Christmas season with a family friendly comedy.

The next, Christmas one-act from Homegrown Theatre Company is A Purrfect Christmas.

A cranberry shortage, a talking cat and imposing relatives come together for a funny, family Christmas play for all ages.

There will be three performances, one on Dec. 17 and two on Dec. 18, tickets can be purchased at lacombePAC.com or the Mary C. Moore Library. Doors open half an hour before show time and proof of vaccinations required.

A Patsy Cline Christmas

A holiday tribute show will finish up the season with an extra dose of Merriment in the Holiday Season with A Patsy Cline Christmas.

Patsy Cline introduced a new kind of country music with songs like “I Fall to Pieces”, “Walking After Midnight”, “Sweet Dreams” and Willie Nelson’s timeless “Crazy”, the top jukebox earner of all time. She melded country, pop and blues styles like no one before her and became the standard by which female country singers were judged for generations. Her concerts were sellouts, her performances on The Grand Ol’ Opry were enjoyed by millions and her records topped pop and country charts, remaining popular today, despite her untimely death in a 1963 plane crash.

Megan Schroder will perform the classics with some seasonal holiday favourites to the Lacombe Memorial Centre on Dec. 20, tickets are $35 and can be purchased online, at LPAC, or at Mary C Public Library.
