Marchant Crane Inc. is the new naming rights partner for the Centrium, Westerner Park has announced.

Dozens gathered at Westerner Park on Thursday, June 5, as the new name was unveiled for the Marchant Crane Centrium.

"This sign reflects dedication, collaboration and a commitment to a greater mission," said Chris Marchant, founder of Marchant Crane.

"It's a statement about who we are and what we believe in. We're proud to be rooted in Central Alberta and proud to be part of something that brings people together. I'm excited for where this partnership will go—and how we can grow even deeper connections in the community."

The goal of sponsoring the Centrium is to "make a bold statement and be part of the community," Marchant added.

Founded in Sylvan Lake, Marchant Crane Inc. is a crane and lifting solutions provider serving construction, industrial and infrastructure projects throughout Alberta. For more information on the business, visit www.marchantcrane.com.

The newly named Marchant Crane Centrium will feature new exterior signage, along with updated digital displays and integrated visuals throughout the venue.

Shelley Flint, Westerner Park CEO, said this naming rights partnership is a result of "vision, energy and a conversation that started many months ago."

"We're super excited to be partnering with Marchant Crane because they want to do things in the community," said Flint.

"Chris Marchant came to us with a genuine belief in what this partnership could mean. His commitment to community—and his boldness in stepping into this spotlight—is a reminder of the power of local business to shape our shared future."

Marchant Crane is just the third naming rights partner in the Centrium's history. The building was known as the ENMAX Centre from 1999-2019 and then became the Peavey Mart Centrium in 2021. Earlier this year, Peavey Industries LP announced the closure of its locations. Following this news, Peavey Industries and Westerner Park decided to dissolve their agreement. Westerner Park then began its search for a new naming sponsor.

Having a naming rights partner "allows us to reinvest back into our community and to put on more events. Having a financial sponsor is important because that's how we put on all our community events that are not revenue generating," said Flint.
