The annual Encore Art Sale wrapped up on a high note this past weekend at the Lacombe Memorial Centre.

Red Deer-based Marlene Kallstrom-Barritt was this year’s featured artist, showcasing her work plus giving two talks about her craft.

Presented by Vesta Energy, the art sale featured hand-crafted fiber arts, pottery, paintings, metal works, and much more from some of Alberta’s finest artisans.

Admission was by donation, with all proceeds going to support the Lacombe Arts Endowment Fund.

Other highlights included the Brushstroke for a Cause, which used to be known as the paint-off event.

Artists worked on a particular piece on Friday evening and again on Saturday afternoon.

All of those pieces were then posted online for a silent auction which will run for two weeks, with the proceeds going to support the Lacombe Arts Endowment Fund.
