Organizers pleased with this year's Lacombe Culture and Harvest Festival

Organizers are happy about this year’s Lacombe and Culture Harvest Festival, which ran this past weekend on the Lacombe Agricultural grounds.

Unlike past years, this year’s event - hosted by the Lacombe Regional Tourism - was held one day only, and was primarily outdoors. Having everything run on a single day made it easier for visitors to catch all the highlights, organizers said.

Meanwhile, several of the favourite events and attractions from past years were included in this year’s rendition as well.

The Lacombe Vintage Machinery Club presented tractor pulls and threshing demonstrations, and various vendors sold their wares on the grounds through the day. The club also held its Mega Pancake Country Breakfast as well as their Roast Beef Country Supper.

The Lacombe Performing Arts Centre also hosted their usual barn dance featuring the Dean Ray Band. And just prior to that, Country Pride Dance Club offered line dancing lessons.
