The best parts of any home renovation come at the beginning and the end. At the beginning, you’re scrolling through Pinterest and Instagram, dreaming up cute design solutions that suit your aesthetic. At the end, you’re enjoying your new living space.
Craig Darrell and the team at L.A. Carpet and Tile can help you in the middle.
“When you come into the store a member of our staff will sit down with you to get a sense of your needs. Do you have pets? Do you have kids? Do you know how long you’re going to live in the space?” he says. “Once we get a sense of the durability you need we can start thinking about design, colour schemes, and your personal style.”
More and more, customers are coming into the store with pictures from social media, and Darrell’s team of interior designers are happy to help recreate those looks.
And with the recent reconfiguration of L.A. Design Centre and L.A. Carpet and Tile, everything you need is under one roof!
Alberta families helping Alberta families
Darrell grew up with L.A. Carpet and Tile, the store his parents started in Lacombe way back in 1990.
“It was just a little mom and pop shop back then, but 30 years have gone by and we’ve grown quite a bit.”
L.A. Carpet and Tile welcomed a sister store, L.A. Design Centre, to offer paints, window coverings and decor. That worked well but it was a hassle for customers to shuttle between the two stores, so they’ve reconfigured the space into a one-stop-shop.
“We have a system that works really well now — whether you’re building or renovating, you can sit down in our showroom and select everything for your home,” he says. “You don’t have to run around to the paint store, the wallpaper store, the floor specialists — you can come here and see the big picture all at once.”
Darrell and the team at L.A. Carpet and Tile are grateful to the community of Lacombe for all their support over the years, and are happy to help with projects big and small.
“Our customers mean something to us — you’re not just a number. We’re here to help, whether you just want to throw down some new vinyl in the bathroom or have a multi-million-dollar home build.”
The store supports local businesses as much as they can, from a full selection of Canadian wall coverings to Cloverdale Paint and Fusion Mineral Paint. They even went local for their building expansion, supporting Lacombe’s own Tricon Developments.
