City council members are hoping residents will help them give Lacombe a 20-minute makeover on April 21.

The event is part of Pitch-In Week which runs April 17 to 23. Councillors will set the pace as they clean up an area of Lacombe from 2 p.m. to 2:20 p.m., other individual and group clean-ups will take place across the city.

“I hope everyone can and will use council as their inspiration to keep Lacombe tidy,” said Grant Creasey, mayor of Lacombe. “It means so much to the community and it’s only a few minutes of your time and day.”

Creasey invited individuals and families to come out, adding that in the past, schools, community groups and workplaces have come out to pitch in.

“It’s a great thing to do something for the community at the beginning of spring,” said Creasey.
