The City of Lacombe is pleased to announce that funding for the 2019 Recreation and Culture Grant program has been increased to $12,500.
This is the sixth year of the grant program. The purpose of the program is to support new local programs and services that enhance the quality of life of Lacombians through recreation and/or culture.
“The City of Lacombe is working with organizations to address community needs by providing funding to run new recreation and culture programs and initiatives,” said Recreation and Culture Manager Sandi Stewart. “The projects that get approved in 2019 will benefit many in our community.”
The grant is open to all non-profit community groups and businesses in Lacombe.
Applications are due February 28, 2019. The Lacombe and District Recreation Parks and Culture Board will review all applications and allocate the funds at their March meeting.
