At approximately 11:45 a.m. on June 1st, Blackfalds RCMP responded to a two-vehicle collision between a truck and a passenger vehicle on Hwy. 2A near Township Road 400.
Blackfalds RCMP attended the scene along with emergency medical services.
The 41-year-old male of the truck was transported to hospital with serious injuries, but is in stable condition. A 72-year-old adult male driver of the passenger vehicle was transported to hospital with minor injuries. Sadly, a 75-year-old female who was a passenger in the passenger vehicle was declared deceased at the scene.
Preliminary investigation revealed the truck was travelling southbound on Hwy. 2A when it crossed the centreline and struck the passenger vehicle travelling northbound.
Blackfalds RCMP continue to investigate the cause of this collision. All those involved are from Lacombe.
