The annual Blackfalds Fire Department Santa Run returns just before Christmas to collect the final few donations for the holiday season.
The fire department started the Santa Run back in 2005 and since then they have been driving the man in red up and down the streets of Blackfalds to collect food donations and monetary donations for the food bank.
Mike Elder, Deputy Fire Chief said that this year the food bank and Santa are especially in need of Hamburger Helper, Sidekicks, pancake mix, flour, sugar and 1 litre juice.
This year they will be doing the run on Dec. 21, starting with the east side of Blackfalds and on Dec. 22, they will be going around the west side.
