Calgary-based kid-friendly magician Christopher Cool is hitting the road for a new literacy library magic show which includes a Blackfalds stop on July 7.
This free show takes place inside the Blackfalds Public Library at 2:30 p.m.
The interactive performance, dubbed ‘Check This Out’, is themed to the TD Summer Reading Program, and will take young readers on a journey filled with magic, music, storytelling, rubber chickens, bananas, a dinosaur, and more, noted a release.
Designed for kids ages four to eight, the show’s aim is to spark the audience’s imagination and a love for reading.
Audience members will be invited to join Cool on an adventure where books come to life and imagination knows no bounds.
As mentioned, the show is crafted to align with the TD Summer Reading Program’s objective of promoting literacy and encouraging young minds to explore the world of books.
“I’m thrilled to bring the ‘Check This Out’ magic show to Blackfalds Public Library,” said Cool.
“My goal is to make learning fun and inspire children to embark on new adventures through the pages of a book. With magic, comedy, and lots of surprises, this show will leave kids laughing, learning, and craving more reading adventures.”
Cool caught the magic bug when he was only five years old after watching a magician perform for his kindergarten class.
It wasn’t too long after that he received his first magic set.
Registration may be required for the show – call the Blackfalds Pubic Library for more information.
