5.1 Council meeting schedule
Council passed a resolution to cancel the Monday, December 2, 2019, Committee of the Whole meeting. Council then scheduled a Committee of the Whole meeting of Council on August 17, 2020.
5.2 Bylaw 400.27 Midway Crossing Lot Rezoning – First Reading
Council gave first reading as presented to Bylaw 400.27, for the re-designation of Lot 1, Block 1, Plan 0123450 (also known as 5230 76 Street) from Future Designation District (FD) to Residential Multi-Unit District (R5) in order to facilitate a multi-unit residential development.
Council also scheduled a public hearing for Bylaw 400.27 at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, January 13, 2020, in the Council Chambers at City Hall.
5.3 Affordable Housing Strategy
Council accepted the updated Affordable Housing Strategy as information. The update includes a new list of 13 recommended actions to help advance identified goals to address current housing needs.
5.4 2020 Operating Budget
Council directed Administration to return the 2020 Operating Budget, based on a 0.9 per cent tax rate increase, to the December 9, 2019, regular meeting for final adoption.
5.5 Motion Out of Camera I – Land
Council directed Administration to finalize the Lacombe and District Chamber of Commerce agreement as presented.
5.6 Motion Out of Camera II – Land
Council directed Administration to renew the realtor services agreement with Royal LePage Lifestyles Realty to December 31, 2020, for Len Thompson Phase II, and to continue to pursue lot sales as presented.
