The City of Lacombe invites all residents to participate in a community-wide make-over this spring by cleaning up their yards and immediate neighbourhoods at a date and time that is safe for themselves and their families.

“Pitch-In Week this year has been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic; however, we want to show environmental leadership and instill pride in our community,” said Councillor Reuben Konnik. “We all share the responsibility for keeping our city clean and I encourage everyone to help create a safer, more liveable Lacombe while safely social distancing.”

Remember to follow these COVID-19 general prevention tips when taking part in the community-wide makeover:

  • Keeping a distance of at least two metres (six feet) from others
  • Wash your hands often, and for at least 20 seconds
  • Avoid touching your face, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick
  • Clean and disinfect surfaces that are frequently touched
  • Stay at home and away from others if you are feeling ill
  • When sick, cover your cough and sneezes and then wash your hands

Please set out waste collected as part of your clean up efforts with your regular garbage for curbside collection.
