Fatal motor vehicle collision near Clive

Blackfalds RCMP with the Lacombe County Fire Department responded to a single vehicle collision

On June 15th, 2018, Blackfalds RCMP with the assistance of Lacombe County Fire Department responded to a single vehicle collision on Highway 12 across from Clive, Alberta.

A vehicle travelling east bound on Highway 12 left the roadway near Clive, Alberta striking a light standard.

The vehicle then rolled several times in the south ditch. The driver of the motor vehicle was ejected from the vehicle.

First aid was attempted on scene, but the 19 year old driver from Tee’s, Alberta succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased. The male passenger in the vehicle was taken to hospital and treated for his injuries, which were minor in nature.

The cause of the collision is still under investigation by the Blackfalds RCMP. The family of the deceased has been notified.
