The Lacombe & District FCSS Board of Directors and the City of Lacombe are pleased to announce the projects approved to receive funding for the 2020 Community Grant Program.

This annual grant program is designed to support local social service programs that are preventive in nature, and to promote and enhance the well-being of individuals, families and the community. The City of Lacombe funds the program and FCSS administers it; screening the applicants and disbursing grants. The available funding for grants in 2020 is $31,500.

“We are pleased to partner with the City and local organizations to address community needs and help support individuals and families,” said Lacombe & District FCSS Executive Director Susan MacDonald. “This year’s approved projects will benefit many and help address our goal of providing supports for all age groups.”

“The assistance of FCSS to manage this grant program is indispensable to the City,” said City of Lacombe Director of Community Services Deborah Juch. “FCSS has the expertise to evaluate applications, and to make sure the funding is spent on services most needed and with the greatest benefit to the community.”
