The Lacombe Fire Department responded to reports of a power pole on fire near the Lacombe Research Station.
Firefighters responded and blocked the access road entering in Lacombe on C&E Trail.
“It was smoldering when we arrived,” Trevor Wilton, Lacombe Firefighter, said.
Fortis arrived to cut off power to the line and Wilton said there is little to no risk to the public.
Residents in Lacombe may experience a blackouts due to the power being shut off
