A Lacombe resident is still trying decide how to spend his recent lottery winnings.
Kenneth Comfort was shocked when he checked his WESTERN MAX ticket and discovered he had won $100,010 on the Aug. 17 EXTRA draw.
“I took my ticket to the store and scanned it on the self-scanner,” Comfort says. “When I saw the amount come up on the screen my first reaction was, ‘that can’t be right’, I couldn’t believe it at first.”
He says he hasn’t made any plans for his winnings yet.
“I don’t want to do anything right away,” he says. “I’m going to take my time deciding what to do.”
Comfort purchased his winning WESTERN MAX and EXTRA ticket as part of a $24 Super Pack from the Lacombe Co-op Gas Bar located at 5850 Highway 2A in Lacombe.
He won his prize by matching the last six digits of the EXTRA number, 4094489 and also won $10 in subsidiary prizes.
