Lacombe ringette’s U14C Edge went undefeated to take home the gold this past weekend at the Lacombe Icebreaker Tournament.

The first half was back and forth and was tied 4-4 at the end of the first period.

However, Edge took control in the second period with the help of goaltender Ashley Wilson only letting in one goal during the second half of the game, noted a release.

The girls pulled out a 9-5 win over the Calgary Hurricanes.

Brooklyn Rousell racked up five points with her hat trick and two assists and Julie Harper earned herself six points throughout the final game.

Haylee Craig was awarded the heart and hustle for her determination and ‘never give up’ attitude.

The Lacombe Edge U14C’s have had an amazing season also going undefeated bringing home a gold in the St. Albert Turkey Ring tournament back in September and only losing one game the entire season.
