Landan Stones appointed assistant principal of Clive School

Wolf Creek Public Schools (WCPS) is pleased to announce the appointment of Landan Stones as assistant principal at Clive School, commencing for the 2023/2024 school year.

Stones has been a part of Wolf Creek Public Schools since 2016. He started his career in the Division at Wolf Creek Academy and is currently teaching at Iron Ridge Junior Campus in Blackfalds.

In addition to his teaching duties, Stones is also the school’s athletic director. Prior to coming to Wolf Creek, he worked as a special education teacher in both Chinook’s Edge School Division and Battle River School Division.

“We are excited about Landan joining the admin team at Clive School. We are confident that his experience as a teacher, athletics director and collaborator will be a tremendous asset in the leadership of the school,” said Sonja Dykslag, assistant superintendent of People Services.

Stones has a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Alberta as well as a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Special Education from the University of Saskatchewan; he is working towards the completion of his Master of Education from the University of Saskatchewan in Educational Technology and Design.

“I am honoured to be joining Clive School in the fall as the assistant principal,” said Stones. “I look forward to getting to know the staff, students, parents, and community. Clive School has a great reputation and I am excited to be a part of it.”
