The Lions Clubs in Innisfail, Forestburg, Killam, and Clive have graciously donated $1,828.58 to the Parkland Regional Library System in order to purchase 20 new eAudiobooks for its regional collection, which supports the visually impaired community.

Last year, eAudiobooks were borrowed 32,374 times across the region through Parkland. The eAudio digital collection has grown significantly in popularity and Parkland has set a goal to expand the collection to meet the needs of its communities.

The Lions Club is an ardent supporter of services to aid the visually impaired, and answered the call for donations in a big way. Due to their generosity, Parkland Regional Library System can now add many new titles to their collection. An eAudio book, which generally costs $60 USD, is an important investment towards the regional collection to provide adequate resources for communities in Central Alberta.
