Mary C. Moore Public Library closes due to public health state of emergency

Dr. Deena Hinshaw has prohibited Albertans from visiting libraries in-person

As of 3:30 pm on March 17, the Mary C. Moore Public Library has cancelled their curbside pick up.

If you require library items you must email mcmpl@prl.ab.ca or message the library on Facebook and we will get your account setup for home delivery via Canada Post.

This could change at anytime. The library will keep the community posted if and when it changes.

The library also received a message from Public Library Services Branch.

“At 3:30 p.m., Alberta’s Chief Medical Officer Dr. Deena Hinshaw has prohibited Albertans from visiting libraries in-person under the declared public health state of emergency,”,” the email stated. “You can watch her address on https://www.alberta.ca/coronavirus-info-for-albertans.aspx#p22780s . The text of her speech will be uploaded soon. Please close your libraries to the public immediately.If you need support in these difficult times, please contact us at Public Library Services Branch.
