A flag flew at half-mast outside the Lacombe post office last week. Flags were flying at half-mast all across the country in recent days, both in memory of the five stabbing victims at a Calgary house party last week and for the funeral of former finance minister Jim Flaherty.
On Tuesday, flags will be at half-mast again for the National Day of Mourning in recognition of those who have been killed or injured in the workplace.
