Local resident Myles Chykerda has filed paperwork with the Alberta Party (ABP) and entered his name for the Lacombe-Ponoka ABP nomination.

“Politics has become extraordinarily divisive in Alberta, with dogma often taking the place of practical and well-thought policy. This ultimately hurts all Albertans at a time when we should be working towards solutions that will chart a course into a prosperous and stable 21st Century for the entire province.”

“I have felt politically homeless for many years in Alberta, but have found the Alberta Party to be a group of hard working individuals seeking realistic and pragmatic solutions to the challenges Alberta faces. I want Lacombe-Ponoka to have a representative that is part of a team that puts Province before Party. Unfortunately all we currently get from the Official Opposition is rhetoric that keeps the truth from Albertans and sows discord throughout the Province.”

“I have been highly critical of the path taken by Jason Kenney’s UCP and felt it was necessary to give the people of Lacombe-Ponoka a positive message on how things can be done differently.”

“I look forward to sitting down with as many constituents as possible in the coming months and learning from the unique life experiences of all my neighbours to help inform relevant and pressing policy stances.”
