The Town of Blackfalds, along with the Lacombe Foundation and the Bethany Group is looking into the creation of seniors housing project in Blackfalds.
The Town of Blackfalds is looking to include seniors in this discussion in order to meet the needs of seniors now and in the future.
The community consultation will run from March 2018 to June 2018. During this process, a preliminary design will be presented between April and August — followed by the presentation of the complete design between August and January 2019.
The Town of Blackfalds said in a release the community consultation needs to ensure, “We identify the types of projects that will be the most appropriate for the seniors of the area. To accurately get a sense of the community’s needs, preferences and learn what is most important to our residents the Town of Blackfalds will be conducting a survey.”
The first consultation is on Wednesday, March 28th from 6 - 8 p.m. at the Blackfalds Community Centre.
