We invite you out to our grand opening day of races and the live announcement of the winner of the Racing to the Altar Giveaway on September 1, 2018.
he grand opening weekend at The Track on 2 starts with gates open to the public on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. and post time is 1:10 p.m.
Live betting as well as off track betting will be open September 1 when gates open. Admission is free to watch the races is a great family event, and parking is free.
We are proud to be able to bring employment to the Lacombe County area having hired people to man the stables, the grandstand bar, the full service grandstand restaurant and several other positions, some seasonal and some part-time and full-time.
For opening weekend there will be activities additional to the races including our Homestretch market with a variety of vendors and food trucks and free glitter tattoos for the kids. We are also finishing our grand opening day with a free Amy Metcalfe concert after the Racing to the Altar announcement.
Racing to the Altar 2018 - Ultimate Wedding Giveaway
After a whirlwind of excitement and love stories we are excited to be coming to the end of our Racing to the Altar 2018 - Ultimate Wedding Giveaway.
Thanks to the generosity of 20 local businesses one lucky couple will be enjoying a wedding of their dreams without the usual hefty price tag attached. The winning couple will be selected by a panel of judges made of all of the contributing businesses.
The 10 finalist couples will be present for the live announcement of the winner on September 1, 2018 live at The Track on 2’s first race day for 2018.
We intend to do the live announcement for the Racing to the Altar winning couple in our winners circle at approximately 5:15 p.m., this time could vary slightly based on when the final races are finished.
Included in the wedding giveaway are the venue rental, horse drawn carriage or sleigh ride, rentals and decor, 10 hr photography package including an engagement session - eight hour wedding coverage / two hour engagement, a diamond videography package including High Definition Video shot by 2 Cinematographers with eight hrs of filming coverage a Wedding Highlight Video and all original footage of your special day will be included in a personalized blu-ray , catering for 100, custom butcher services for 100, DJ services for the ceremony and the reception, marriage commissioner services, wedding invitations, custom flowers for a bridal party of 10 and 12 floral centerpieces, a $1500 credit towards wedding gown, tuxedo rental for groom and four groomsmen, five hours stretch Chrysler 300 limo services, a four-tier wedding cake, wedding favours for 100, cannolis for 100 guests, hair and makeup for the bride and 4 bridesmaids. Accomodations for the bride and bridesmaids for the night preceding the wedding, and accommodations for the bride & groom on the wedding night, including a complimentary hot drink bar, dessert tray for both nights.
All services are generously donated by the listed vendors for a wedding date of November 3, 2018.
