UPDATE: Ponoka County resident William Harris was found deceased

Rimbey RCMP are investigating the cause of his death

UPDATED: Rimbey RCMP say the missing Ponoka County man was located deceased.

Police say he was found on Oct. 30.

“The RCMP are continuing the investigation into his death and there is no determination about any criminality at this time,” states a press release.

Background:

The Rimbey RCMP are looking to locate and confirm the well being of 57-year-old William (Bill) Harris, of Ponoka County, who was reported missing on October 17, 2018.

Bill was last spoken to by his family on October 5, and this is not usual. He may have health concerns that need to be addressed. Bill is known to frequent, and have associates in, Red Deer. He was last seen in Red Deer on October 9.

He is described as:

- 5’10” tall / 130 lbs (slender)

- Grey hair and hazel eyes / wears glasses

- Unknown clothing description

- White beard

- Tattoos on both hands and lower arms

- Facial scarring
