It is with heavy hearts that the family of Clinton Wilfred Campbell announces his passing on October 1, 2020 in the Ponoka Hospital and Care Centre, at the age of 77 years.
Clint was born on Feb. 1, 1943 in Lacombe, Alberta to Carl and Christina (nee Parks) Campbell.
He grew up on the family farm northwest of Lacombe, in the Fairview District and went to the Arbordale School until it's closing. He then went into Lacombe and attended Nelson School. After finishing school Clint married Jean and together they had 4 children. He spent the next few years working on construction crews for Moulson, Hopkins and Everall Construction building roads across Alberta and BC.
Clint loved being around people and people were drawn to his infectious smile and witty humor.
In 1980 Clint married Marie and together they enjoyed many happy times with family, as well as activities like bingo and camping with friends. During this time Clint was a hard working fiercely loyal grader operator for the County of Lacombe and later in life a driver for Ponoka Ford.
Clint was a lucky man surrounded by the love of strong family and friends who spent valuable time with him taking part in activities and conversations that filled everyones' hearts.
He is survived by two aunts Ruby (Parks) Riggan and Frances Parks; two sisters Eileen Campbell and Helen Campbell; sister-in-law Shirley Campbell; daughter in law Rose Campbell; three nieces and two nephews.
He is also survived by his two daughters; Tammy (Trevor) Gerlach and Cynthia Campbell; as well as, five step children; Greg (Diane) Stephanson, Lori (Cam) Mohl, Tom (Kathy) Stephanson, Alan (Carol) Stephanson and Kim Stephanson; 17 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.
Clint was predeceased by his first wife Jean McMillan in 2000 and his second wife, Marie Campbell in 2018; his two sons, Robin Campbell in 2009, Warren Campbell in 2014. his sister, Myrtle Mundorf in 2014 and brother Robert Campbell in 2019.
Clint's generosity, compassion and conversations will be missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
