Douglas ("Uncle Dougie") Hadden

May 6, 2025

February 1, 1966 - May 6, 2025

In loving memory ~

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Douglas Hadden, lovingly known as "Uncle Dougie," who left this world on May 6, 2025, at the age of 59.

Doug was a man of quiet strength, deep honesty, and unwavering kindness. For the last 18 years, he made his home in Buck Lake, Alberta, where he found joy in the simple pleasures of life close to nature. A true outdoorsman at heart, Doug loved camping, hunting, and breathing in the fresh air of the land he called home. Whether by a campfire or on the lake casting his fishing line in the water, he felt most at peace under the open sky.

But above all, Doug's heart belonged to his beloved dog, Penelope. The bond they shared was something truly special—one of loyalty, laughter, and love. Anyone who knew Doug knew Penelope, and their companionship was a beautiful constant in his life.

Doug will be remembered not only for his love of nature but for his decency, humility, and the gentle way he treated those around him. He listened more than he spoke, helped without being asked, and left people feeling better simply for having known him.

Doug is pre-deceased by his parents, Doug and Barb Hadden; sister, Donna Hadden; brother, Donald Hadden; and his Faithful Pup Penelope.

Doug will be truly missed by his sister Penny (Bruce); Twin Brother Darren; brother Ted; nieces Shelby (Cameron) and Dez (Jesse); nephew Mitch, and Young Emilee, and Brixton.
