October 31, 1941 - March 5, 2021
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our father. George passed away peacefully Friday morning in the Long Term Care Lacombe where he had resided for many years at the age of 79. George was born in Hodgeville, SK. He married Evelyn 'Pat' in 1962 in Hanna, AB.
They moved around quite a bit in their younger years. One big adventure lead them overseas to Iran and the United Arab Emirates where he worked in the oil industry.
In 1978 they returned to Canada and have lived in the Lacombe area ever since. George's work often took him away from home working a lot in southern Alberta. George loved to travel, him and Pat spent many summers at French Creek out on Vancouver Island salmon fishing.
George is predeceased by his wife, November 2018 and brothers Terry, Ron, Joe and sisters Mary, Myrtle and Rose Marie. One surviving brother John (Lorna). George also leaves behind three daughters Bonny (Fred), Candice (Graham), Michelle (Darrell) as well as grandchildren Kyle, Sarah, Kaylyn and Shae, great grandsons William, Brantley, Luke and Dawson and many grand dogs.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of the Lacombe Long Term Care. They had become family to Dad over the many years he had lived there.
Burial planned for later spring/summer.
