Janet Stelter

June 12, 1947 - April 25, 2025

In loving memory ~

Our beloved Janet Theresa Stelter went home to heaven in the early hours of April 25, 2025. A journey she had been looking forward to as she deeply loved her Saviour and Lord, Jesus the Christ, God the Father and the Holy Spirit. Janet was born on June 12, 1947 in Calgary, AB. Her early years were very challenging with tough times. She married and they adopted two daughters, Barbara and Shelly, lived in the Vancouver area awhile where she had a dress shop, before they moved back to Alberta where life drastically changed. After addressing a serious medical condition Janet found a faith in God like never before. She was very much her own person who loved vivid colors that showed up in her love of hats and flowers for her hair. But mostly she devoted her life to prayer and loving others. She married Dennis Stelter in July 2005, (he passed away in 2015). Left to remember her with great fondness are her in-laws: Mike and Carolyn Corbett and Don and Sheila Stelter. Long-time friends Adrianna and Debbie, and the congregation of the Pentecostal Church on the Hill, 40331 Range Road 27-1 Highway 12, Lacombe. A memorial service will be held May 7th at 1:00 p.m. at that church with refreshments to follow. Wear something bright to celebrate Janet. The family would also like to thank and acknowledge the profound care and loving friendship of Doug Gateman to Janet these past few years. Cremation has taken place and a private burial will follow later.
