Pearl Meindersma

Pearl Meindersma passed away peacefully September 7, 2022, at the age of 93 years. Born in Granum, Alberta on August 14, 1929, she moved with her parents and brothers Cor and John, to Innisfail, then on to Penhold, and eventually Woody Nook district in Lacombe. She taught 9 grades in a one room schoolhouse for two years. She met and married Wigger Meindersma in 1950. They built their home together on his farm in the Westbranch district in Lacombe County. She will be sadly missed by her children, Shirley (Peter) Palset, Don Meindersma, Joan Olafson, Judy (Randy) Laye, 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends.
After a private graveside service, the family will hold a public, outdoor celebration of life on September 11, 2022 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the family farm "Aspen Springs Rustic Barn" (27223 TR 41-2). Limited seating will be available; guests are asked to bring their own lawn chairs and respect physical distancing and comfort level of others.
