March 17, 1929 - March 6, 2020
Ralph Floyd Tatlock, our Dad, Grandfather, and husband passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on March 6, 2020 at Lacombe, Alberta.
Dad came into this world on a very warm, 48 F degree Sunday, March 17, 1929, St.Paddy's Day, to Art and Myrtle Tatlock weighing in at 7 pounds 4 ounces in Bentley Alberta. He was the much younger and doted on brother to Burnell, sister Faye and brother Vere (Red). He grew up on the family farm South of Bentley where he carried on the farming tradition of his ancestors since they helped with the colonization of the USA 400 years ago. Dad had a kind, gentle touch with all living creatures large and small. He nurtured his crops, his livestock with gratification as they thrived. If you went looking for Dad he would be in his pickup with his companion, Katie his faithful farm dog, checking the cows. Dad was the quintessential farmer with a great love for the land. No hurtful or unkind words were spoken by our Dad. Dad could find good in everyone that passed his path, in his lifetime.
Dad will so dearly be missed by his wife of 66 years, Maureen. His daughters Cheryl (Randy) Cox, Diana Lynn Wilson and sons Wesley, and Cameron (Tami). 5 grand children, and 9 great-grand children. Dad was predeceased by his parents, siblings, and son-in-law Dwaine Wilson.
A celebration of Dads life will be held at the Bentley Community Church March 17, at 12 noon.
If desired, in lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Lacombe Health Trust @lacombeheathtrust.com or the Central Alberta Humane Society @ www.cahumane.com
