The Christmas excitement is upon us and the children seem to switch into fast forward.
They talk faster, move faster and try to get through each day just a little faster. One little girl informed me that she had eaten her chocolate from her Advent calendar and then had a chocolate chip cookie for breakfast. I asked if her mom knew and she replied: “Mom said as long as I was good I could eat anything I wanted.” I asked if she’d been good and she said. “How can I? I’m full of sugar!”

Our novel this week is, “The Measure of a Man” by Marco Malvaldi. This is a Leonardo Da Vinci novel translated from Italian.
In October of 1493, Italy is the economic and cultural center of Europe. In those years people would often run into a man dressed in long pink robes, lost in thought. He is a strange man. He doesn’t eat meat, writes from left to right, and struggles to get paid by his employers. His name is Leonardo Da Vinci and when a man is found dead in the castle, he is called upon to solve the mystery.
The staff of the Mary C. Moore Public Library would like to wish you a very Merry Christmas and a safe and happy holiday.
