Lacombe will be hosting a Bantam AA provincial baseball tournament July 22, 23 and 24 at Michener Park.
The home-town Central Alberta Cubs will be competing for the provincial championship, along with five other teams from around the province. All teams are in Tier 6.
The event kicks off with opening ceremonies 5:30 p.m. Friday.
Ryon Holmedal, one of the organizers, encourages local baseball enthusiasts to check out the tournament and cheer on the Cubs. Admission to the event is free.
Central Alberta Cubs games are 6:30 p.m. on July 22 and noon on July 23. Semi-finals and finals will be played Sunday.
