The Edmonton Rocks Wheelchair Curling Association and the Calgary Wheelchair Curling Association have thrown out a challenge to local athletes.

Wheelchair and disable athletes are invited to come out to a one day tournament held in Lacombe on Nov. 6.

Jack Smart with the Calgary Wheelchair Curling Association says they have previously held events and tournaments in Lacombe and are looking forward to being back. The tournament is open to athletes who are new, or seasoned and want to get together and have a fun game.

Curling equipment will be on hand for those who are participating, or you can bring your owns and anyone participating is asked to bring their own wheelchair as the clubs will not have extras on hand.

The two associations are getting at the Lacombe Curling Club on Nov. 6, from 10 a.m - 5 p.m. and the event is open to spectators.
