Lacombe Seniors took part in a variety of activities throughout Senior’s Week in Lacombe, June 6 to 10. Lacombe and District Family and Community Support Services (Lacombe FCSS) hosted a variety of programs to ‘get back to play’ including Bocce Ball and an introduction to Corn Hole at the Lacombe Memorial Centre gardens, walking tours, chair yoga, and a movie matinee featuring Field of Dreams. Lacombe Upper Elementary students make the world a bit better

For the past 18 years, the students at Lacombe Upper Elementary School (LUES) have raised funds to impact the lives of children around the world through A Better World (ABW). This year they participated in a program to fundraise and help buy desks for children in Kenya and on May 31 they presented a cheque for $652. The donation was matched by ABW, totalling $1,300 will be used to buy desks, enough to furnish one classroom for 40 children.(Submitted)
