Sylvan Lake Defensive Back (DB) Baylie Kennedy is headed for Finland on July 21 to play for Team Canada. With the cost of the trip being fairly expensive, businesses, friends and family have stepped forward to help cover the costs.

Phase one complete at Lacombe athletic park

Local dignitaries gathered for a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of the first phase of the MEGlobal Athletic Park expansion project on May 7. The expansion included increasing the size of the field house and adding several new facilities. A contribution of $2 million from MEGlobal Canada ULC made the project possible. Phase two of the expansion will be the running track and field infrastructure.
